VertEx VS Stainless-Steel Cross-Draught Extraction System
In short: The VertEx VS is a modular cross-draught extraction unit built from T304 stainless steel, or optional T316. It suits corrosion-sensitive or hygiene-critical areas. It draws dust horizontally away from the operator and runs stand-alone or in a VertEx Booth VB. There are ten sizes, with ventilated faces from 1200 × 600 to 1800 × 1800 mm, and seven filter categories.
Made by AirBench Ltd in Colchester, UK. Micrographics Data specifies size and filter category, installs, and stocks replacement filters in Singapore.

Cross-draught extraction for larger work
When parts are too big for a bench, a cross-draught unit draws air horizontally through a vertical face behind the work, so contamination moves away from the operator. VertEx units can stand alone or line up inside a VertEx Booth VB.
Function and sizes match the VertEx VA. The stainless body is the difference, for cleanable surfaces and environments where painted steel would corrode.
Position
Work in front of the unit’s ventilated face.
Draw
Air moves horizontally away from the operator.
Filter
The chosen filter set captures the dust or fume.
Return
Cleaned air returns to the room, or units combine in a booth.

What sizes does the VertEx VS come in?
10 models: VS120618 (1270 × 700 mm), VS121218 (1270 × 700 mm), VS180618 (1870 × 700 mm), VS181218 (1870 × 700 mm), VS120624 (1270 × 700 mm), VS121224 (1270 × 700 mm), VS121824 (1270 × 700 mm), VS180624 (1870 × 700 mm), VS181224 (1870 × 700 mm), VS181824 (1870 × 700 mm). Full dimensions are in the table above.
Which filter does the VertEx VS need?
It depends on the contaminant. AirBench offers 7 categories for the VertEx VS: A – Non Sparking Dusts; F – Fine Dusts; B – Very Fine Dusts; L – HEPA Filtered; C – Dust and Light Sparks; E – Low Volume Fume; S – Smoke and Fume. The filter table on this page lists the applications for each. Tell us the process and we will specify the filter.
T304 or T316?
T304 stainless steel is standard. T316, the more corrosion-resistant grade, is an option. We advise on it against your cleaning chemicals and environment.
Does the VertEx VS need ductwork?
No. VertEx units are self-contained and recirculate filtered air.
Where can I get the VertEx VS datasheet?
The manufacturer’s datasheet (2023) are linked under Media and downloads on this page.
