EDGE Grant Replaces PSG, EDG and MRA: What It Means for Document Scanning Projects in Singapore

In short: Enterprise Singapore has consolidated its main business grants. The Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG), Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) and Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) grant ceased on 29 September 2026. From 30 September 2026, businesses apply for grant support under the new EDGE Grant. This article explains what changed and how to prepare a document scanning or digitisation project before you apply.

What changed

• PSG, EDG and MRA have closed to new applications. Enterprise Singapore states that the three schemes ceased on 29 September 2026.
• The EDGE Grant replaces them. From 30 September 2026, new applications for business grant support go through the EDGE Grant.
• Existing applications continue. Enterprise Singapore states that ongoing EDG, MRA and PSG submissions and projects will continue to be processed, and claims can be submitted on project completion.

Support levels, caps, eligible activities and company eligibility for the EDGE Grant are set by Enterprise Singapore and may change. Always check the official EDGE Grant page before planning around a figure.

What this means for PSG pre-approved solutions

The PSG worked from a list of pre-approved solutions and vendors. With PSG closed to new applications, that list no longer applies to new projects. If you were planning a scanning or document management project around a PSG package, re-check it against the EDGE Grant terms instead.

Preparing a digitisation project before you apply

1. Read the current terms first. Confirm on the Enterprise Singapore website whether your company and your planned activity are eligible, and what the application sequence is.
2. Scope the project properly. Record volumes, document types and condition, indexing, output formats, retention and access requirements. A clear scope makes any application, and any quotation, easier to assess.
3. Get an itemised quotation. Ask vendors to separate scanning, preparation, indexing, software, hardware and training, so each component can be assessed on its own.
4. Do not sign or pay before you understand the rules. Grant schemes set conditions on when costs can be committed. Check them before placing an order.
