VertEx VP Pulse-Clean Cross-Draught Extraction System

In short: The VertEx VP is a modular cross-draught extraction unit with a pulse-clean filter system for high volumes of non-explosive dust. It draws dust horizontally away from the operator, and compressed air cleans the filters in service. Four sizes give ventilated faces of 1200 × 1400 or 1800 × 1400 mm. Filter M is standard, and VPL types add a HEPA after-filter (filter N).

Made by AirBench Ltd in Colchester, UK. Micrographics Data specifies size and filter category, installs, and stocks replacement filters in Singapore.

How it works

Cross-draught extraction for larger work

When parts are too big for a bench, a cross-draught unit draws air horizontally through a vertical face behind the work, so contamination moves away from the operator. VertEx units can stand alone or line up inside a VertEx Booth VB.

The VP combines the VertEx cross-draught face with the self-cleaning cartridges used on the AirBench RP, for continuous dust volumes that would quickly load a standard filter.

FAQ

VertEx VP questions

See the full range under AirBench Dust & Fume Extraction.

What is the VertEx VP?

The VertEx VP is a modular cross-draught extraction unit with a pulse-clean filter system for high volumes of non-explosive dust. It draws dust horizontally away from the operator, and compressed air cleans the filters in service.

What sizes does the VertEx VP come in?

4 models: VP121224 (1270 × 700 mm), VPL121224 (1270 × 700 mm), VP181224 (1870 × 700 mm), VPL181224 (1870 × 700 mm). Full dimensions are in the table above.

Which filter does the VertEx VP need?

It depends on the contaminant. AirBench offers 2 categories for the VertEx VP: M – Stone Dust and Similar; N – Stone Dust and Similar with HEPA after filter (VPL Types). The filter table on this page lists the applications for each. Tell us the process and we will specify the filter.

What do the VPL models add?

VPL types have a HEPA after-filter (filter N) and stand 2735 mm high, against 2465 mm for the standard VP.

Does the VertEx VP need ductwork?

No. VertEx units are self-contained and recirculate filtered air.

Where can I get the VertEx VP datasheet?

The manufacturer’s datasheet (2024) and manual are linked under Media and downloads on this page.

Who supplies and supports the VertEx VP in Singapore?
