Microbox BRIDGE Scan-on-Demand Workflow
In short: Workflow software for digitising archival material on request. BRIDGE brings request intake, research, scanning, quality control and delivery of digital copies into one system, so material is digitised when someone actually needs it.
Works with Book2net scanners such as the ARGUS and Falcon. Developed by Microbox GmbH, the maker of Book2net.
From request to delivered copy
Requests arrive through a web research portal, a CSV bulk import or an API connection. Whatever the source, each one runs through the same status-driven workflow: new, waiting room, requested, picked up, checked, scanned, shipped, stored and completed.
Staff see open, in-progress and completed orders in one place, with bulk actions, search filters for each status and cancel or reset options for exceptions. A dashboard reports scan volume, processing status and turnaround times.
Request
User orders a copy in the portal, or requests arrive by CSV or API.
Retrieve
Staff pick up and check the item.
Scan
Item digitised on a Book2net scanner.
Deliver
Copy shipped to the requester and stored.

What is Microbox BRIDGE?
Workflow software for archives, libraries and memory institutions that manages digitisation requests from intake to delivery: request portal, research, scanning, quality control and delivery of digital copies in one system.
What does scan on demand mean?
Material is digitised only once someone requests it, rather than scanning whole holdings in advance. Effort goes where there is actual demand.
How do requests get into the system?
Through the built-in web portal, by CSV bulk import, or through an API connection to existing systems. All three feed the same workflow.
Can researchers order copies themselves?
Yes. The research portal lets researchers, citizens and administrative staff submit requests and follow their status.
Which scanners does it work with?
Book2net archive scanners, including the ARGUS and the Falcon.
Is there a demo?
Yes. The manufacturer hosts a live demo of the workflow, and we can arrange a walkthrough.
How much does it cost?
It is quoted per configuration — modules, integrations, training and support all change the figure. Micrographics Data issues a written quotation, and a GeBIZ quotation for government agencies and statutory boards.
How do reproduction requests reach you today?
Tell us your request volume and current process; we arrange a BRIDGE demo and quote the setup.
