CZUR ET MAX Professional Book Scanner
In short: The ET MAX is the top model of CZUR’s ET Smart Series: an overhead book scanner with a 38-megapixel sensor capturing at up to 410 dpi, laser curve-flattening for bound pages, and OCR in more than 180 languages. Its HDMI port outputs 4K, so it doubles as a document camera for teaching and presentations. It is a desk tool for libraries, offices and schools — not a conservation scanner for rare books.
Choose the ET24 Pro when 320 dpi is enough and video output is not a priority.

Higher resolution, same hands-free workflow
The book lies open on the mat under the scanner head. Laser lines trace the page curvature; software uses that contour to flatten the image, then crops, deskews, splits the spread into two pages and removes the fingertips holding the edges.
The 38 MP sensor gives up to 410 dpi — more headroom for small type, footnotes and OCR than the 320 dpi ET24 Pro. Capture is triggered by foot pedal, hand switch or software, so the operator can turn pages with both hands.
Place
Open the book on the mat; side lights reduce glare on glossy pages.
Capture
38 MP sensor images the spread; trigger by foot pedal, hand switch or software.
Flatten
Laser contour scan drives curve flattening, finger removal, auto-crop and page split.
Output
OCR in 180+ languages to searchable PDF, Word or Excel, or images as JPEG, PDF or TIFF.

ET Smart Series against the alternatives
Same software and handling; the differences are sensor resolution, video output and how valuable the material is.
For a one-off backfile of bound material, or rare and fragile volumes, compare with our book scanning service.

What is the CZUR ET MAX?
The top model of CZUR’s ET Smart Series: an overhead book scanner with a 38 MP sensor, up to 410 dpi, laser curve-flattening, OCR and 4K HDMI output.
ET MAX or ET24 Pro?
Both share the same flattening, page splitting and OCR. The ET MAX has a 38 MP sensor at up to 410 dpi and 4K HDMI output; the ET24 Pro has 24 MP at 320 dpi and HDMI up to 1080p. Choose the ET MAX for small type, dense pages or presenting.
How thick a book can it scan?
Books up to 35 mm thick at A3, or 50 mm at A4. Flat documents up to A3.
Can it be used as a document camera?
Yes. The HDMI port outputs 4K video, so it can show pages live on a display or projector for teaching and presentations.
Does it work on Linux?
Yes. CZUR supports Windows, macOS and Linux for the ET MAX.
Is it good enough for archival digitisation?
No. It is an office and reading-room tool. Archival programmes need conservation handling and colour management to FADGI, Metamorfoze or ISO 19264-1 — a Book2net cradle scanner or our bureau.
Do you support it in Singapore?
Yes. Micrographics Data supplies CZUR in Singapore with setup, software installation and local warranty handling.
